Stephen Curry suffered a left ankle injury in the Golden State Warriors’ 110-107 loss to the Boston Celtics on April 1, 2024.
Curry rolled his ankle after landing on Celtics guard Marcus Smart’s foot with 2:02 remaining in the third quarter. He was helped to the locker room and did not return to the game.
The Warriors announced that Curry will undergo an MRI on April 2 to determine the severity of the injury.
Curry had 21 points, six rebounds, and four assists before leaving the game. The Warriors were outscored 30-14 in the fourth quarter without him.
The loss drops the Warriors to 39-33 on the season. They are currently in the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
The Warriors are already without Draymond Green, who has been out since January 19 with a back injury. If Curry is forced to miss significant time, it would be a major blow to the Warriors’ playoff hopes.
Curry will undergo an MRI on April 2 to determine the severity of his ankle injury. The Warriors will then have a better idea of how long he will be sidelined.
