First Dates star Fred Sirieix has been starring in Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip since 2018 and opened up about returning to the beloved show

Fred Sirieix opened up about the struggles of reuniting with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo for their popular Road Trip series.

The 52-year-old First Dates has been starring in Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip since 2018, with the trio causing chaos and great memories in every incredible location they travel to. The hilarious stars go together like PB&J so it’s no surprise fans have been wondering when they’ll return to our screens after Gino quit last year due to ‘legal’ issues.

Italian chef Gino devastated fans when he took to social media to announce he was no longer taking part in the show. He said: “Because contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract.

“So I have decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years ahead.” Earlier this week, Gino told the Loose Women stars that he had been discussing the show with iconic chef Gordon. And now, Frenchman Fred revealed his love for the boys while discussing his work with French gin G’Vine.

Speaking to Mirror Online about reuniting with the team for another hit series, he said: “Gino was on Loose Women yesterday saying we’re going to go back on the road. I’m just waiting for the call. It may well be the case we go on the road with the boys. I can’t wait, it’s always fun to be with Gino and Gordon because you never know what’s going to happen

“There are too many new ideas and not enough time. That’s the problem. We’ve got a problem with dates. Gordon’s very busy in the States, always opening restaurants, Gino’s always on holiday and I’m stuck in the middle.” In the meantime, Fred has been busy with the 10th anniversary of First Dates, the second season of his Prime series The World Cook and wedding planning with his fiancé Fruitcake.

With the weather slowly getting warmer, Fred also discussed working with G’vine Gin and shared some tips about spring cleaning your liquor cabinet. The star said: “What’s important to me is to have quality products and if you have a bar or liquor cabinet, rather than have 20 bottles, I’d rather have 10 quality bottles than 20 average bottles.” He then advised people to focus on gathering quality products.
