“Suspend me again — I’ll just hit more bombs.”
After lifting the Yankees to a thrilling win over the Cleveland Guardians with a clutch two-run homer in the 8th inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. didn’t hold back — and neither did his bat.
The explosive outfielder, who had recently been penalized and temporarily banned by MLB umpires following a heated exchange during a previous game, let his play do the talking. But he made sure to speak loud and clear postgame with a now-viral 8-word message:
“Suspend me again — I’ll just hit more bombs.”
The message was aimed squarely at the league’s umpiring crew, after what Chisholm and many Yankees fans viewed as a controversial suspension that took him off the field for two games. Known for his swagger and unapologetic energy, Chisholm has clashed with officials before — but never quite like this.
In his return to the lineup, Jazz wasted no time making a statement. Down 4–3 in the eighth, he launched a towering two-run shot to right field, flipping his bat sky-high before rounding the bases to a roaring Yankee Stadium crowd.
“It’s personal now,” Chisholm said in the locker room, his cleats still dusty. “They tried to take the game away from me. That just added fuel.”
Yankees manager Aaron Boone praised Chisholm’s fire: “That’s Jazz. He plays with edge, and when they try to dim his light, he shines brighter.”
While MLB has yet to comment on Chisholm’s postgame remarks, fans are already rallying behind him — with “#MoreBombs” trending across social platforms.
Love him or hate him, Jazz Chisholm Jr. is making one thing clear: you can ban the man, but you can’t ban the bat.
