49ers Stars Fred Warner and George Kittle Campaign for Myles Garrett Trade
A Shocking Trade Request Rocks the NFL
The NFL world was shaken when Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett publicly requested a trade. As one of the league’s most dominant defenders, his availability immediately sparked interest from teams across the league. Players from various franchises have openly lobbied for Garrett to join them, but few have been as vocal as San Francisco 49ers stars Fred Warner and George Kittle.
Warner and Kittle Make Their Pitch
Appearing on the Up and Adams show with Kay Adams, Warner made his stance clear when asked about the possibility of Garrett joining the 49ers.
“There’s always room for a Myles Garrett,” Warner stated confidently.
Not to be outdone, Kittle added a more personal touch to his recruitment efforts.
“Hey Myles, we could be really good friends, I promise,” Kittle said, hinting at his enthusiasm for the potential blockbuster move.
Their comments leave no doubt—Warner and Kittle would love to see Garrett in a 49ers uniform.
Why the 49ers Should Pursue Garrett
If the 49ers could somehow acquire Garrett, their defense would reach historic levels of dominance. The mere thought of pairing him with Nick Bosa is terrifying for opposing offenses. Garrett is arguably the best defensive player in the league, and having Bosa as the team’s second-best defensive lineman would be a scenario straight out of a coach’s dream.
A Garrett-Bosa duo would create an All-Pro-caliber defensive front that could single-handedly dictate games. The 49ers already boast one of the NFL’s best defenses, but adding Garrett would elevate them to an unstoppable force.
The Harsh Reality of a Trade
As exciting as the idea of Garrett joining the 49ers may be, the logistics of making a deal happen are complicated. Financially, it would be nearly impossible to fit his massive contract into a payroll that already includes upcoming deals for Brock Purdy and possibly George Kittle. The Browns’ reluctance to trade Garrett further diminishes the likelihood of a deal getting done.
While Warner and Kittle’s efforts to lure Garrett to San Francisco are entertaining, the reality is that a trade remains highly unlikely. Still, in the world of the NFL, surprises happen all the time—and if the 49ers can find a way, acquiring Garrett would be a move that could reshape the league.
