A Bills Star’s Comeback Story Overshadowed by Pro Bowl Snub..anhtruc.

The Pro Bowl may not hold the same cachet it once did, but snagging a spot still marks a player as one of the league’s standouts. Every year, the Buffalo Bills see some of their best receive nods, though there’s always talk about those who might have been overlooked.

Take last season, for instance, when linebacker Terrel Bernard, despite having a stellar year, found himself overshadowed by Matt Milano’s 2022 All-Pro showing. Still, it’s a safe bet the Bills will have a few players making the cut this season.

According to Tom Pelissero, the list of top ten players by position for the Pro Bowl Games has been posted. The selections hinge on a blend of fan votes, plus input from the players and coaches.

Each group’s vote has equal weight, making up a third of the decision. Fans eager to see the final rosters will have their answers come Thursday.

Seven Bills are spotlighted on this list. Quarterback Josh Allen finds himself just behind Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, and Jared Goff.

Right on Allen’s heels is none other than his MVP rival, Lamar Jackson. A notable mention includes Damar Hamlin, whose inclusion might raise a few eyebrows.

Despite missing the last couple of weeks due to injury, Hamlin’s performance prior has been nothing short of solid.

When it comes to protecting Allen, the recognition of three Bills’ starting offensive linemen should come as no surprise. Their impressive work has only allowed 14 sacks all season, a testament to their pivotal role in Buffalo’s offensive strategy.

While the list boasts some familiar Bills faces, there are still concerns about key players missing the cut. Greg Rousseau, for instance, is having an impressive season, racking up QB pressures and matching his career high with 8 sacks.

Then there’s James Cook, an anchor in Buffalo’s offense. Approaching his second consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season and currently leading the league in rushing touchdowns, Cook’s absence is puzzling.

The final roster announcements for the Pro Bowl Games are due tomorrow. While the Pro Bowl’s format and prestige have evolved over the years, being voted in by fans, fellow players, and coaches still remains a significant accolade. Bills fans can certainly expect to see a couple of their own on the roster when the official line-up is revealed.
