Andre Agassi has stated that just talent may not make Carlos Alcaraz one of the greatest tennis players like the Big 3.

Andre Agassi lavished some praise on Carlos Alcaraz by comparing him to the Big 3 of tennis which is Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. The American however also cautioned Alcaraz that only talent wouldn’t take him to where the Big 3 now stand.
Alcaraz has already started to break the records set by the Big 3 and this year only he surpassed compatriot Nadal to become the youngest man to win all Majors on the three surfaces when he lifted the French Open. Agassi, during TiE Global Summit 2024 in Bengaluru, was asked about Alcaraz and he talked about how Alcaraz excels in certain areas of the game.
Alcaraz, at 21, is a four-time Grand Slam champion, with the Australian Open being the only title he’s yet to lift. In an interview, he said that achieving the Career Grand Slam is one of his main goals for the 2025 season. In Melbourne however, Alcaraz has never reached the semifinals.
After wrapping up his ATP season, Carlos Alcaraz flew to New York City to participate in the Garden Cup held at the Madison Square Garden. He then went to Charlotte for the Charlotte Invitational.
Former World No.1 from America Andy Roddick, who lives in Charlotte, and who was in the stands during the match, lauded Alcaraz’s behavior as he claimed the youngster did not play in the exhibition events solely to bag the huge prize money.
After the two exhibition events in the United States, Alcaraz has started preparing for the 2025 season. He won four titles this season, two of which were French Open and Wimbledon.
