Amik Robertson taken to locker room with arm injury
DETROIT – Another defensive starter was injured for the Detroit Lions just two minutes into their first playoff game.
The No. 1 seed Lions are hosting the No. 6 seed Washington Commanders in the divisional round at Ford Field. With a win, they would get to host the NFC Championship Game next week.
But the injury bug has already reared its ugly head, as cornerback Amik Robertson went down on just the second defensive play of the game.
The Commanders ran a quick screen out to the right and Robertson was in the process of making the tackle when he took a hard shot from teammate Jack Campbell.
Robertson stayed down on the field and left with two trainers, one holding his left arm very cautiously. He has been ruled out for the game.
With Carlton Davis already out, the Lions can’t afford more attrition in the secondary. Even more will now fall on the shoulders of rookie Terrion Arnold, who is returning from an injury of his own.
