It’s been quite the year for Josh Allen.

Engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld, won his first NFL MVP, and now has a new long-term contract with the Buffalo Bills.

Prior to the start of free agency, Allen signed a six-year, $330 million contract that ties him to the Bills through the 2030 season and includes $250 million guaranteed.

However, he proved that it really wasn’t about the money for him with this new contract.

According to FOX Sports’ Henry McKenna, Allen told reporters that when he spoke with his agent about the deal, he wanted to make sure he wasn’t hurting his team in the long run.

“Hey if this has any impact on the cap, let’s figure out a way not to do that,” Allen said of his conversation with his agent.

“What’s 5 more going to do for my life than what I can do right now? I wasn’t looking to kill them every chance I could and told my agent that,” Allen added (via Sal Capaccio).

It truly showed how much Allen values the organization and how he places winning over everything, including himself.

That’s the true definition of a teammate and a leader.
