Bills vs Chiefs injury report: Buffalo gets good news on important defenders and more.THANHDUNG

As the Buffalo Bills prepare to visit the Kansas City Chiefs for the rights to head to the Super Bowl in the AFC Championship game, both teams are locked into practice sessions throughout the week. That means injury reports provide us with the latest information on player health.

For the Bills, linebacker Matt Milano plays a vital role in the heart of the team’s defense. In years past, he’s made a vital difference in games against the Chiefs, but unfortunately, injuries have robbed him of the ability to help the Bills in key matchups. Buffalo fans can take heart, however, knowing that Milano is looking set to play on Sunday night.

AFC Divisional Playoffs: Baltimore Ravens v Buffalo Bills

The Bills practiced on Thursday and watched Milano practice despite dealing with a hamstring concern. It was the second straight day that Milano was out there for Buffalo, which bodes well for his likelihood of suiting up in the conference title game.

Let’s look at the latest injury reports before the AFC Championship game.

Milano was only able to play in four games for the Bills in the regular season due to a torn bicep that had early reports believing he would be out for the entire season. Milano’s return has been a boost for the team’s overall defense and especially their coverage units, which will come in handy against Travis Kelce and company.

As for other injuries, Christian Benford is back to practice after being placed in the team’s concussion protocol. The former sixth-round corner has turned into a reliable starter outside in the team’s secondary, so his ability to play would also restore the depth chart in the secondary how Bobby Babich would like things to look.

The Bills are looking at life without safety Taylor Rapp after he missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday. The six-year vet started 14 games this season with 2 interceptions for the Bills. Last year’s second-round pick Cole Bishop woudl be in line to start if Rapp is unable to go.

As for the Chiefs, they’re also looking quite healthy with no new injuries in practice on Thursday. The Chiefs made the decision on Wednesday to end Mecole Hardman’s season, which was the single biggest health concern on the team at this stage.
