The Atlanta Braves are enduring a challenging 2025 MLB season, currently holding a 27-36 record.

Sitting 13 games behind the National League East leader and nine games out of the Wild Card contention, the team faces the real possibility of missing the postseason for the first time since 2017. Despite this downturn, the Braves have decided to keep faith in their manager Brian Snitker for the remainder of the season.

Unlike other MLB teams such as the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles, who have dismissed their managers amid struggles this year, the Braves intend to maintain continuity.

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, Snitker’s position remains secure, acknowledging the manager’s significant contributions over the years. “He has led Atlanta to seven consecutive postseasons and a World Series championship,” Nightengale noted.

Snitker, who has been with the Braves organization for nearly five decades, took over as interim manager in 2016 following the firing of Fredi González and was appointed full-time manager after that season.

He holds a managerial record of 762-618 with the Braves and famously guided the team to the 2021 World Series title. His current contract expires after this season, and he is expected to retire from managing and transition into a special assistant role within the organization.

While the Braves’ current performance is disappointing, the franchise appears committed to giving Snitker the chance to finish the season and potentially turn the team’s fortunes around.

Fans will also see him honored during the upcoming All-Star Game in Atlanta, where he will be recognized as part of Dave Roberts’ National League coaching staff.

As the Braves navigate this difficult stretch, the focus now shifts to whether they can regain momentum and secure a postseason berth under Snitker’s leadership one last time before his anticipated retirement.
