DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to celebrate to begin the new year.
After dominating their NFC East rival, the Dallas Cowboys, 41-7 on Sunday afternoon, the Eagles find themselves at 13-3 and have locked up the No. 2 seed in the NFC. With one final game remaining in the regular season against the New York Giants, it could be in Philadelphia’s best interest to rest key players as the Wild Card round looms.
Smith, on the other hand, had much more to celebrate to begin 2025 besides his team’s success.
On New Year’s Eve, Smith’s girlfriend, Mya Danielle, took to Instagram to announce that the couple had become engaged. Danielle used multiple photos of the proposal and her new ring.
“Went on a ROCK climbing adventure with my forever tonight 🥹💍🤍🥂,” Danielle captioned the post.
Smith and Danielle made their relationship Instagram official in June 2023 while announcing Danielle was pregnant with their first child.
“To our unborn you were made with so much love. We’re so thankful God blessed us to be your parents. You have so much love for you already it’s indescribable. We know the journey will not be easy but it’ll be an amazing story to tell. Mommie and DaDa cannot wait to meet you. See you soon baby girl🤍.”
The couple introduced their first kid, a baby girl named Kyse Danielle, in October 2023. They also announced they are expecting their second child in a post from late December 2024.
Smith, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama, has recorded 68 catches for 833 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games this season. He has proven to be one of the best WR2s in the entire NFL and will look to make another trip to the Super Bowl to accomplish what the Eagles could not in the 2022 season.
