The Braves’ injured ace, Spencer Strider, made his return on Wednesday and looked close to his usual self, but once again, the offense had a dreadful performance that overshadowed his outing. Matt Olson expressed frustration after the game, and it’s understandable. Olson, in particular, has been hit hard by some tough BABIP luck early on, but the entire offense has underperformed compared to their talent and expectations. This continues a strange trend from last season, despite most of the same players who made up one of the best offenses in baseball history in 2023 still being in the lineup. Atlanta needs all of their talented hitters to click and hope for better luck with the averages.
