BREAKING: Celtics’ Joe Mazzulla Sends 5-Word Message After NBA’s Announcement -ANHTRUC.

The Boston Celtics are a heavy hitter in the Eastern Conference this year, as usual. They’re 56-19 as they play the Miami Heat on Wednesday, good for second place in the East, eight games ahead of the New York Knicks and four behind the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While the Celtics define themselves based on titles, they’ve avoided a championship hangover thus far after winning it all last season. Now, they’ll try to become the first back-to-back champions since the Golden State Warriors in 2017-18.

Boston’s success helped Joe Mazzulla win Eastern Conference Coach of the Month in March, but he couldn’t care less about it, via WEEI’s Justin Turpin.

“It’s the dumbest thing ever,” the West Virginia alum said.

Mazzulla took over as the Celtics’ interim coach in 2022 after assisting on the staff since 2019.

Before that, he assisted Glenville State, Fairmont State, and the Maine Red Claws before head coaching Fairmont State from 2017-19. He was also the NBA All-Star Game head coach in 2023 and is the ninth-youngest coach to win the Finals in league history.

After Wednesday’s Heat game, Boston will host the Phoenix Suns on Friday and the Washington Wizards on Wednesday before traveling to face the New York Knicks and Orlando Magic. After that, they’ll host the Charlotte Hornets twice to close out the regular season.

Boston would face the winner of the Orlando Magic-Chicago Bulls Play-In series in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended now. Its final regular-season game is on April 13.
