The Celtics’ next opponent will be the Oklahoma City Thunder in what is one of the most highly-anticipated games on the calendar. Oklahoma City currently owns the second-best record in the entire NBA and is the team to beat in the West. Going up against the reigning champions, this could be a major statement game for the Thunder.
Ahead of Wednesday’s battle against the Thunder, the Celtics made an announcement on Tatum that could make a major impact on the game.

Tatum has missed five games so far this season, but he has not missed back-to-back games at any point in the campaign. While not official, it is possible that Tatum will continue this trend as the Celtics have listed him as questionable against the Thunder.
Additionally, Jaylen Brown is now listed as probable with a knee injury.
When he is on the court, Tatum is one of the top players in the NBA. His versatility on both sides of the ball makes him the perfect leader for the Celtics. Even though the Celtics defeated Utah without him, it is clear that he is essential to the team’s success.
With a month left in the regular season, the Celtics are all but guaranteed the No. 2 seed in the East. Regardless of their standing, the Celtics remain the team to beat as they prepare for their title defense in the playoffs.
