Chicago Bulls Announce Josh Giddey and Lonzo Ball Blow

The Chicago Bulls are on a 2-2 run. Next, they will be taking on one of the NBA’s best teams right now though, in the form of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Bulls have made it clear that they are not trying to improve their draft lottery chances and are focused on doing their best for the remainder of the season, despite trading Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings before the trade deadline.

Despite their 24-37 record, a play-in spot is still within reach as the Bulls sit at 10th in the East.

The Bulls will be without three of their best players when they take on the Cavs though.

The news has been confirmed. Lonzo Ball, Kevin Huerter and Josh Giddey are out against the Cavaliers.

Giddey has been in the form of his life in recent games and has been putting up double-doubles for fun. So, his absence will be the biggest loss for the Bulls. He has been the franchise’s best player since the exit of LaVine.

Lonzo has looked pretty good lately as well. He had scored 14 points against the Toronto Raptors and 15 against the Los Angeles Clippers in his previous two outings. The basketball IQ that he brings to the court is vital to the Bulls as well.

Huerter has done well since arriving in Chicago as well. He has averaged 10.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the Bulls. He is also shooting 39.3% from three-point range.

The Bulls were already facing an uphill struggle against the Cavaliers and without Giddey, Ball and Huerter, that task has become even harder.
