Chris Jones has been living the life. The defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs is one of the highest-paid players at his position and is considered the backbone of the team’s D-line. He had 18 assisted tackles and 5.0 sacks this season while playing a critical role in helping the Chiefs return to the Super Bowl. Apart from a painful loss in the Super Bowl, Jones is facing another setback, this time in his private life.
Chris Jones has broken up with his longtime girlfriend, Sheawna Weathersby. The couple has been together for 9 years, however, they were not married or engaged. Weathersby confirmed the news of their split and cited the reason for the drastic decision as well. The couple had been dating since 2015.
The defensive tackle recently posted a photo of himself with a woman licking his face on Instagram. It is likely that his ex-girlfriend is referring to that individual.
His social media account has since been deactivated. However, the internet will not allow him to live this moment down because the image has been screengrabbed and circulated on Reddit.
Weathersby further went on to allege that the woman that Jones was pictured with harasses, stalks, and disrespects her. She shared a disturbing account of how, despite the defensive tackle’s requests, the woman remains reluctant to leave her be.
This is especially troubling given her history of harassment, stalking and disrespect towards me, including constantly calling and messaging me and my close friends from text free apps and fake Instagram pages. This behavior has forced me to change my number and has forced Chris to ask her multiple times to please leave me alone and respect our coparenting dynamic.

The woman’s name, as identified by users online, is Giselle. The defensive tackle has pleaded her to stay away from his ex-girlfriend, however, she refuses to oblige.
Jones’ relationship status has been controversial. Recently, he posted a series of tweets confirming that he was single. However, this was after he had posted the image of himself with his new girlfriend. “I’m like 106% single,” Jones had posted.
Users were quick to refute his claims and pointed out to the picture. It remains unclear when Sheawna Weathersby and Chris Jones broke up because she was in attendance at the Chiefs’ games earlier this season.
She got a chance to meet Taylor Swift and spent her time at the game with the significant others of fellow Chiefs players. The couple has been together since before the defensive tackle entered the NFL. They have two sons, Christopher Jones II, who will turn seven this year, and Carson Dakota Jones, who will turn three this year.
Jones has been a private person who seldom publicly speaks about his love life. The two were able to stay out of the limelight successfully, however, things have taken a drastic turn now.
They will continue to co-parent their children for the time being. Jones has maintained silence since posting the picture. He is no longer on social media and is hoping to stay off the internet for a few weeks until the noise around his alleged infidelity goes away.
