Interestingly, they turned to another New York team to fill the void, securing former New York Jets safety Ashtyn Davis on Tuesday night, as reported by Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz. At 28, Davis was chosen 68th overall in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, having previously played college football at California.

During his NFL tenure, Davis has been versatile, operating as both a strong safety and free safety for the Jets, participating in 69 games and starting in 22. Throughout his career, he has recorded 175 tackles, forced 3 fumbles, recovered 4 fumbles, defended 15 passes, and made 8 interceptions, 5 of which came in the past two seasons.
