it’s time to wake vp, Bills Mafia…it’s gameday! The Buffalo Bills are set to host their regular season home finale against the New York Jets and they have the chance to lock up the second-seed in the aFC playoff picture. should the Bills leave Week 17 with a win, it would make sense for sean McDermott to rest his starters next week when Buffalo goes to New England.
Not only does this game have playoff scenarios vp in the air, but the MVP race seems to be back on between Josh allen and Lamar Jackson. Both superstar quarterbacks were drafted in 2018 and they are always mentioned in the MVP conversation. Jackson has two MVPs in his career while allen is looking for his first one.
Throughout this season, allen became the front leader for the award but Jackson has been making a run at allen the last couple of games. However, Buffalo’s superstar quarterback has the chance to stay ahead of Jackson in Week 17 against
the Jets.
Fans have seen allen set records throughout this season, whether it is franchise history or NFL overall. He will have the chance to do it again today against a Jets defense that has been awful throughout this season.
according to the Buffalo Bills PR X account, the first record that allen can set is becoming the first player in NFL history with five consecutive 40+ touchdown seasons. all he needs is two total touchdowns. That is more than doable for allen. as
far as within Bills’ history, if allen scores one rushing touchdown, he can tie formerBills running back Thurman Thomas for the most rushing touchdowns in team history (65).
