Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has set the standard for greatness in the modern NFL, and saw his game drew comparisons to University of Miami signal-caller Cam Ward, who was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
During ESPN’s broadcast of Round 1 on Thursday night, plays from Ward’s highlight reel at Miami were shown next to clips of Mahomes to demonstrate that each quarterback is particularly adept at evading sacks and throwing on the run.
