BREAKING NEWS: Josh Allen was left off the All-Pro 1 team despite an excellent season, angering fans.

NFLPA released the Players All-Pro 1st team where Lamar Jackson was selected as QB instead of fan favorite Josh Allen.

Josh Allen has had an unbelievable 2024-25 season. He led his Buffalo Bills to 2nd place in the AFC when the football world thought they were going to have an average season. As fans, media, and fellow players saw his efforts, he also became a leading candidate for regular season honors.

The NFLPA announced their own All-Pro teams earlier today. This list comprises of those who active players think should be in the 1st team. The NFLPA revealed their lists on their official website featuring some of the best players from the regular season.

As this list does not have a 2nd or 3rd team as is with the AP All-Pro lists, it means several standout performers were not going to see their names. The Players All-Pro 1st Team Offense saw players select Lamar Jackson as the quarterback.

The list saw triple crown star Ja’Marr Chase join his LSU teammate Justin Jefferson as wideouts. It also saw rookie Brock Bowers edge big names such as Travis Kelce and George Kittle to be selected as the best tight end.

Another selection that could score some controversy was when their peers selected Saquon Barkley over Derrick Henry. Barkley did have a slightly better year compared to Henry, therefore the argument did not find much traction.

What did find traction among fans was the omission of Josh Allen. Lamar Jackson getting the vote from fellow active players did not sit well with many who saw Allen seemingly uplift the Buffalo Bills. To list a rebuilding team to 2nd place in the hotly contested AFC was not an easy task.Add the fact that Lamar Jackson had Derrick Henry who helped drag defenses towards himself. Allen did not have that much help and had to resort to elite plays to get into scoring positions. He also had to make do with an inexperienced receiving core, whereas Jackson’s receivers were used to playing with him.

Fans found the Players All-Pro 1st team selection baffling when Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills finished the season in a better position than Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens. That too in the same conference. Examples of their reactions on social media are listed below.

Some of those fans did say that this is not the definitive All-Pro list. They felt the tide could turn when AP comes out with theirs. There is also belief among those supporting Josh Allen that the Bills QB will be MVP. After such a stellar campaign, their logic does hold some weight.
