The Kansas City Chiefs have their work cut out this offseason. They have a list of key players like Justin Reid, Charles Omenihu, and Marquise Brown hitting free agency.

They also franchise-tagged Trey Smith to prevent him from hitting the open market. A report also revealed that the Chiefs don’t plan on extending running back Isiah Pacheco until the season to see if he can stay healthy and play the way he did before going down.

The Chiefs also have Samaje Perine and Kareem Hunt hitting free agency, and that means Kansas City should clearly be looking at running back options in the 2025 NFL Draft. That has apparently started, according to a recent report.

Chiefs Draft Rumors Include Meeting With Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins

The Chiefs reportedly met with Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins at the NFL Scouting Combine last week.

The 2025 NFL Draft is loaded at running back, and Judkins is one of the bunch. He makes it tough for defenders to bring him down in open space while using his burst to accelerate away. Judkins also has soft hands out of the backfield and gives his offense a reliable pass-catcher.

In his collegiate career, he finished with 3,875 rushing yards and 45 rushing touchdowns. The Alabama native also snagged 59 catches for 442 receiving yards and five scores. Judkins then showed up big time at the NFL Scouting Combine. He ran a 4.48 40-yard dash, with a 38.5 inch vertical jump and 11’0” broad jump.

Judkins is one of the most talented running backs in this class, and the Chiefs are smart for meeting him.

He’s a player who is going to be an immediate contributor due to his size, vision, and speed. The Chiefs would have to use one of their picks in the first two rounds to give themselves a realistic chance to select him.

Whether or not they feel comfortable doing that with other needs on the team remains to be seen. Regardless, it’s clear Judkins is one of the most skilled tailbacks in this draft class.
