That is impressive, but not more than the fact that he has been playing most of the 2024 season through a significant injury.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Allen fractured his left hand during Buffalo’s Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
That injury occurred after Josh Allen jumped into the end zone for a rushing touchdown.
He hasn’t missed a single game this year. However, the team has kept him on their injury report through their Week 12 bye, with no one having a clue just how bad his injury truly was.
Allen had to go to the X-Ray room after their win over the Detroit Lions.
This was said to be precautionary, as he wanted to get peace of mind after taking a “funky fall” during the game.
There was no reason for concern despite the X-Rays. And there were no broken bones, according to Jeff Darlington of ESPN.
In that game, Josh Allen completed 23 of his 34 passes for 362 yards, tossing in two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also used his feet as he rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bills got a much-needed 48-42 victory.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is the frontrunner for the NFL’s MVP award.
The star quarterback is completing 64.4% of his passes for 3,395 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. He also has 484 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.
Allen has emerged as an MVP favorite while leading the 11-3 Buffalo Bills to their fifth straight AFC East title.
