BREAKING NEWS: Ravens have reportedly made a significant addition to their wide receiver room by reaching agreement with DeAndre Hopkins on a one-year contract.THANHDUNG

The Ravens have reportedly made a significant addition to their wide receiver room by reaching agreement with DeAndre Hopkins on a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Hopkins, 33, is a five-time Pro Bowler with career totals of 984 catches, 12,965 yards and 83 touchdowns during his 12 NFL seasons. No active player in the NFL has more receiving yards than Hopkins.

Hopkins posted his seventh 1,000-yard season in 2023 with the Tennessee Titans and was still productive last year.

WR DeAndre Hopkins

After the Titans traded Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs in October, he caught 41 passes for 437 yards and four touchdowns for the Chiefs over the final 10 regular season games. Hopkins added three receptions during the postseason and caught a touchdown pass and a two-point conversion for the Chiefs during their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

Hopkins would add another proven weapon to Baltimore’s receiving corps to join Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, who are both coming off their best seasons.

Two of Baltimore’s wide receivers from 2024, Tylan Wallace and Nelson Agholor, are both free agents and the Ravens were expected to target the wide receiver position at some point this offseason. Adding Hopkins addresses that need in a major way and gives the Ravens more flexibility in the upcoming draft.

Hopkins and Lamar Jackson have long admired each other. Jackson was interested in bringing him to Baltimore before the 2023 season Hopkins posted a photo of himself, Jackson and Derrick Henry at NFL Honors in 2020 with the caption, “How many TDs would this trio total?” We’re about to find out.
