BREAKING: Packers RB Josh Jacobs Poised to Dominate Under the Lights on ‘Monday Night Football’ – VC

Packers RB Josh Jacobs should run wild on 'Monday Night Football'

Josh Jacobs has been a force of nature for the Green Bay Packers and, frankly, he’s been exactly what Matt LaFleur’s offense has needed.

LaFleur does tend to get a bit pass-happy and times as a play-caller and who could blame him? He has one of the top young quarterbacks in the league in Jordan Love as well as a plethora of targets to catch the ball. That list includes Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and budding superstar tight end Tucker Kraft.

In Jacobs, though, LaFleur has a weapon that he can rely on to help set the tone for the Packers. He’s also found a sure-bet way to finish with six in the red zone, because Jacobs has become lethal down near the goal line.

Jacobs has rushed for 11 touchdowns in Green Bay’s last seven games, with all of those scores coming off red zone touches.

He now has a perfect chance to continue adding to that total on “Monday Night Football” in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints actually have a top 15 defense in points given up per game with just 22.3, but where they’ve struggled this season is against the run. New Orleans gives up 134.4 yards per game on the ground, which means the Saints have the sixth-worst rushing defense in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the Packers have the fourth-best rushing offense in the NFL, much in thanks to Jacobs. They run for 144.4 yards per game.

Jacobs has scored a rushing touchdown in five straight games in in six of his last seven. Against a Saints team that’s struggling against the run, it’s easy to predict that Jacobs will find the end zone for his sixth straight game on “Monday Night Football,” and he’ll potentially do it multiple times.
