Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has topped the NFL’s 2025 Pro Bowl voting and he may have his girlfriend’s fans to thank.
The star tight end finished with 252,200 votes in the fan ballots – over 2,000 more than second-place Jahmyr Gibbs.
Kelce has 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns this season. He’s third behind Raiders rookie Brock Bowers (108) and Arizona‘s Trey McBride (101) for most receptions among tight ends.
The three-time Super Bowl winner is already a four-time All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowl pick, but some NFL fans are convinced he may have had a helping hand in his selection this season.
Kelce’s high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift has significantly increased his popularity over the past 18 months with their romance introducing the NFL and the football star to a whole new demographic.
The Swifties – the name given to the pop sensation’s loyal fanbase – have adopted Kelce and supported his NFL endeavors wholeheartedly and some football supporters suggested they had a role in the voting.

‘You know why Travis got those votes let’s not pretend he’s even top 3 at his own position,’ one social media user posted, hinting at the Swifties’ motive.
‘Kelce is on the top because of the swifties,’ another claimed, while another asked: ‘Did Kelce get all the Swiftees votes?’
Others echoed the claims with one saying, ‘Big shock swiftie on top,’ while another chimed in with, ‘Swifty’s out there in force for Kelce.’
Meanwhile, some hinted that the NFL wanted to lure Swift herself to the Pro Bowl Games by having her boyfriend participate.
‘NFL must need Taylor at pro bowl,’ one said, while another added, ‘Does anyone doubt the impact of Taylor Swift now….’
Detroit Lions running back Gibbs (250,082 votes) ranked second overall behind Kelce, ahead of Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley, who is 101 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson´s single-season rushing record.
Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (242,352), Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (239,526) and Lions quarterback Jared Goff (225,858) rounded out the top five.
The AFC and NFC rosters will be announced by the league at 9am ET on Thursday.
This is the third year of the Pro Bowl Games after the NFL eliminated its full-contact all-star game and replaced it with weeklong skills competitions and a flag football game.
The games will take place at Central Florida and finish with a seven-on-seven flag football game between the AFC and NFC at Camping World Stadium on February 2.
Retired Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning will be back as head coaches for the two conferences.
