The life of an NFL quarterback isn’t for the faint-hearted, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield can attest to that.
After an up-and-down start to his career, Mayfield landed in Tampa Bay and has flipped the script on it. He finally seems happy and at peace with life after being accepted by the franchise and its fans.

Also, Baker and his wife, Emily have welcomed their first child into the world recently, and as any father would know, everything takes a backseat when you are a parent.
For Mayfield, given that it is the NFL offseason, now is the time that he will recharge and spend some time with his family that he otherwise wouldn’t during the regular season.
And it appears he’s loving it, with Emily posting an adorable picture of Baker and his daughter to her Instagram page. The picture shows Baker holding up his daughter with a huge smile on both of their faces, and Emily captioned the picture, “How is this my life?”
We often see NFL players as just that, players of a game, and it can be hard for some to remember that they are real people, and Emily’s picture is a prime example.
While Mayfield has his many detractors on the field as the Buccaneers once again reached the playoffs but again failed, as a father, he is loving life and is clearly enjoying this downtime before the preseason starts.
Being a starting NFL quarterback is great, but being a father is better, and we think Mayfield agrees.
