Chiefs BREAKING NEWS: K.C. rebuilds offensive line after Super Bowl loss, this name catches attention…

The Kansas City Chiefs will face an uphill battle to get back to the Super Bowl after seeing their hopes of completing the NFL’s first-ever three-peat go up in flames against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

A key flaw in Kansas City’s game plan for the Eagles was the blocking schemes deployed by the Chiefs’ offensive line. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes faced constant pressure from Philadelphia’s defense, which didn’t have to send more than four pass-rushers to keep the two-time MVP under duress.

If Kansas City intends to earn the chance to keep its dynasty afloat for another season, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach will need to reload his team’s offensive line in the 2025 NFL draft.

Check out this full seven-round mock draft, wherein Kansas City picks a star tackle early, and finds a talented interior lineman on Day 3:

Walker was profiled by Chiefs Wire’s expert draftnik Sam Teets earlier this season. In his breakdown, Teets noted Walker’s raw power and versatility, which could be a major asset for Kansas City’s defense next season.

The Chiefs must continue adding pass-catchers to their roster in the offseason with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, DeAndre Hopkins, and Skyy Moore set to hit free agency. Tre Harris probably won’t fall this far but, if he does, Kansas City would be wise to add him to their young-but-explosive receiving corps.

Bryant is exactly the type of ball-hawk the Chiefs need to help their defense generate more turnovers next season. In his four years at the University of Kansas, Bryant came down with 12 interceptions and forced three fumbles.

Dec 27, 2021; Detroit, MI, USA; Western Michigan Broncos tight end Brett Borske (89) celebrates with offensive lineman Jacob Gideon (77) after scoring a touchdown in the first half against the Nevada Wolf Pack during the 2021 Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field. Gideon is a versatile lineman who has experience playing at both the guard and center positions. Though this isn’t a flashy pick, it could turn into a home run if Gideon adds a little bit of bulk to his frame and continues developing his technique.

Edwards has all the tools scouts look for in a star running back and rushed for over seven yards per carry in Michigan’s 2022 campaign. Though his counting stats aren’t particularly impressive compared to players like Ashton Jeanty, Edwards would be an ideal pickup for the Chiefs here in the seventh round.

Rucker might not stick around long enough for the Chiefs to select him with the penultimate pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but if he is available here, Kansas City should consider picking him up. The former Tarheel racked up 22 sacks during his time in Chapel Hill and has a ton of experience that could help him develop quickly in the NFL.
