The Kansas City Chiefs continue to develop coaches and front office personnel to take other football jobs, earning a positive reputation under the Andy Reid and Brett Veach tree.
In December last year, the Nebraska Cornhuskers reportedly announced their intention to hire former Chiefs assistant defensive line coach Terry Bradden as the school’s new defensive line coach. He agreed to stay with Kansas City until the team’s run to Super Bowl LIX concluded.
The former assistant was hard at work in practice footage posted on social media, which caught the attention of Chiefs defensive lineman Malik Herring.
Herring posted “Energy is Contagious” to honor his former position coach, with whom he’s worked since signing with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Bradden had been with Kansas City for eight seasons, the last four of which were as an assistant under defensive line coach Joe Cullen. Preparation for the next college football season is underway, and he hopes to bring that same level of pro success to Nebraska.
