The Kansas City Chiefs’s hot start leveled off in the second quarter of their matchup against the Houston Texans on Saturday, but the defending Super Bowl champions got momentum back on their side just before halftime.
After a defensive turnover and subsequent touchdown by the Chiefs to open the game, Kansas City’s offense plateaued after the first quarter.
Down 10-7 with under five minutes remaining, quarterback Patrick Mahomes put together a near-perfect drive that resulted in an impressive touchdown scored by veteran running back Kareem Hunt.

Hunt’s return to Kansas City has been a total success, and the former Toledo Rocket has proven to be a key asset for Andy Ried’s offense despite Isiah Pacheco’s return to the starting lineup.
