KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs might soon welcome back an essential offensive player to their lineup.
Reports suggest wide receiver Hollywood Brown could rejoin the Chiefs in either Week 16 or 17. Brown has a Week 15 appointment with his surgeon, which could clear him to return to action.
Chris Jones has voiced his displeasure with the ‘awkward’ 2024 schedule for the Chiefs. Brown sustained a sternoclavicular dislocation in his left shoulder during the Chiefs’ initial preseason game in August against Jacksonville, following a pass reception on the game’s opening play.
He has yet to participate in the regular season. If he makes a comeback, he’ll provide the Chiefs with another deep-threat option alongside Xavier Worthy, adding further strength to a receiver lineup now featuring Deandre Hopkins.
The Chiefs have been progressively regaining their health as the regular season nears its end. Starting running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu both made their returns in Week 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders. With an 11-1 record, the Chiefs currently lead the AFC and are aiming for the top seed. They will face the LA Chargers this Sunday at 7:20 p.m.
