The Commanders came away with the only road win of the NFL weekend on Sunday night.
Washington will need to do it again to get past the Detroit Lions in the divisional round, but Commanders fans didn’t waste any time hyping up the matchup with the NFC’s top seed.

In a now-viral video circulating among Lions’ fans, Commanders faithful are seen chanting “We Want Detroit” on the concourses of Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.
Kicker Zane Gonzalez knocked a 37-yard field goal off the right upright as time expired to give the Commanders a 23-20 win on the road.
The Rams and Vikings still need to play in Arizona on Monday night, but Washington, the NFC’s No. 6 seed, is the lowest remaining team left in the playoffs, so their matchup with the Lions is set.
Their fans seem confident, but it will be a tall task going into Ford Field and winning against the 15-2 Lions and the feverish One Pride.
The Lions opened as 10-point favorites on Sunday night shortly after Washington beat Tampa Bay. By Monday morning, the line had moved to -8.5 on BetMGM and FanDuel and -8 on Caesars.
This will be the fourth all-time playoff matchup between two of the NFL’s historic franchises. Washington beat Detroit in the 1999 wild card round and in the NFC Championship in 1991.
Washington also beat Detroit in the 1982 playoffs, so the Lions are looking for their first win in the postseason series.
