CeeDee Lamb, who was rewarded with the second-highest contract in the wide receiver market, went through hell to bring his team a victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The absence of star quarterback Dak Prescott has been notably felt in the Dallas Cowboys games, but in Week 16, Lamb demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the standout players on the roster.

Due to the struggle throughout the season, the Cowboys entered Week 16 after getting eliminated from the playoff contention. But the star wideout didn’t want to end the season on a disappointing note, even if it came with a cost to his shoulders. Lamb could be seen in excruciating pain on the football field against the Bucs, but he didn’t let it restrict his game.

The three-time Pro Bowler finished the game by recording a team-high seven receptions out of his eight targets with a game-high 105 yards and 15.0 yards per average. In the post-game press conference, when Lamb was asked about his shoulder injury, he responded with an unfiltered take on his struggle.

Lamb has been dealing with an AC joint sprain for about a month now, yet he remains committed to playing, especially with Prescott already sidelined due to his season-ending injury. The wide receiver comprehends the significance of his role, not just for playoff aspirations, but also for the team’s pride.

Week 16’s victory not only illuminated a positive path for the team but also highlighted the remarkable performance by Lamb. He became the first player in the history of the America’s team to record at least 100 yards in the first half of consecutive matches.

Head coach Mike McCarthy showed some high praise on Lamb post-game.

Although his participation in the second half appeared bleak for a moment when he hurt his shoulder again, he came back shortly after, leading his team to the 26-24 victory. They are now headed for the final two games of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
