A Farewell Message from the Heart
Despite the controversy, Lawrence struck a different tone on Saturday when he took to X to share a heartfelt farewell message to the Cowboys and their fans. Expressing gratitude for his time in Dallas, he reflected on the privilege of wearing the star and being part of the Cowboys organization.

Lawrence’s Words to the Cowboys Faithful
“I have had the honor and privilege to wear the star and call myself a Dallas Cowboy for my entire NFL career,” Lawrence wrote. “There has never been a moment since the day Jerry Jones called to draft me that I haven’t loved every person in the Dallas community, every fan that supports the Cowboys across the world, and every player, coach, and staff member of that incredible organization.”

He went on to express how he had always envisioned finishing his career in Dallas but acknowledged that fate had different plans.

A New Beginning in Seattle
Now heading to Seattle, Lawrence shared his excitement for the next chapter, emphasizing his passion for the game and his determination to contribute to the Seahawks’ success. “A new chapter begins. I leave for Seattle with excitement, the same passion for the game I love, and determination to prove my way of football to a new organization and fan base. I can’t wait to play for the 12s and lead the Seahawks to victory.”

Lingering Tensions with Micah Parsons
Despite his farewell message, Lawrence’s earlier comments about the Cowboys’ Super Bowl chances did not sit well with Micah Parsons. Lawrence had bluntly stated, “I know for sure I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there. So, yeah. We here.”

Parsons fired back on X, calling Lawrence’s remarks “some clown s—,” implying jealousy and resentment played a role in his statements. The back-and-forth exchange fueled speculation about lingering frustrations within the Cowboys’ locker room.

A Legacy in Dallas, A Future in Seattle
Though his exit was accompanied by controversy, Lawrence made it clear that Dallas will always be home for him and his family. “This is not the end of my life as a Dallas Cowboy or North Texas resident, but it is a new beginning and chapter for me and my family. I hope you hold us in your prayers and wish us well on our next journey.”

While Lawrence now looks ahead to a fresh start with the Seahawks, Cowboys fans will undoubtedly remember his 11 seasons in Dallas, where he left a lasting impact as one of the franchise’s most dominant defenders.
