No. 6 Dodgers prospect Zyhir Hope has made himself into something of a fan favorite since he came over from the Cubs in the Michael Busch trade during the 2023-2024 offseason, simply by being very good at baseball.
After the trade, he spent just seven games in Rookie ball before the Dodgers decided they’d seen enough to promote him. He spent 54 games in Single-A and hit .287 with a .905 OPS, nine homers, and 31 RBI and was promoted to High-A to start 2025 (and got an invitation to spring training).
With how he’s been playing in Midland, we could plausibly see him being promoted to Double-A soon. He’s the Loons’ best hitter by basically every metric and leads in homers and RBI with four and 21, respectively.
On Sunday, he enjoyed his second four-hit night of the season with an extra-base hit and two RBI. He’s been without a homer since April 18, when he hit two in one night, but by all accounts, he’s living up to the hype.

Another trade piece has gotten off to a hot start to the season; Gavin Lux return Mike Sirota is batting .361 with a 1.123 OPS in Single-A. He entered the Reds organization’s top 30 last season at No. 14 and is No. 20 in the Dodgers’ pipeline this year.
He’s not rated very highly for his power, but his three homers and nine extra-base hits (eight doubles, one triple) in just 15 games is certainly a nice sign. Through April 29, he’s enjoying a seven-game hit streak and is, by far, the Quakes’ best hitter by most metrics.
However, 2024 first-round Dodgers draft pick Kellon Lindsey hasn’t had as outstanding a time in Rancho Cucamonga so far this year. His average and OBP are respectable, .260 and .396 respectively, but he’s sitting at a .342 slugging.
Lindsey wasn’t projected as a major power hitter even before the Dodgers drafted him with the 23rd pick, and has been still be a reliable bet to get to first one way or the other (he has a 18.7% walk rate). MLB Pipeline compares him favorably to Trea Turner thanks to his 80/80 ranked speed, but the Dodgers will probably want to try to develop his power as he ascends through the minors.
