DONE DEAL: QB 6,016-YD signs historic deal with Green Bay Packers after Jordan Love suffers serious injury: “I’m OK with being underestimated”-vaythoi

I’m cool with being underrated,” said Jalen Milroe at the NFL Combine when the entire league was watching him. He pointed out his strengths, describing how he played in the toughest conference. After playing such ultra-competitive games, he definitely gained confidence. The 22-year-old signal caller is already being counted as a diamond in the rough. When one NFL team asked him how much time it would take him to improve, he took the opportunity to shine. His reply, “How much time do you have?” was enough to show his dedication to the craft.

Why Jalen Milroe believes he is ready for NFL

The William V. Campbell Trophy winner excelled at everything he did during his college years. In 4 years of college football at Alabama Crimson Tide, the QB played 38 games (27 started) and recorded 426 of 663 passes (64.3% completion rate) for 6,016 passing yards and 45 touchdowns with 20 interceptions. He even picked up his rushing game with 375 rushes for 1,577 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns.

Jalen Milroe has turned heads now by accepting the invitation to the 2025 draft. This year, the draft will take place from April 24 to April 26 at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, in Wisconsin. The host franchise that has injury concerns hanging over their QB, Jordan Love, will also have a chance to talk to the talented rookie. For some fans, there’s a bigger meaning.

It simply means that teams are ready to draft him. And they have given him indications of being drafted in the first round. His numbers at the Crimson Tide put him into the record book. He finished college with the 7th most passing yards and 8th most touchdowns. Milroe also became one of the 9 QBs who completed the program with a pass completion rate of more than 60%.

The NFL might be getting ready to welcome a star who would chart his destiny by his hard work and tenacity. But he still has a long way to go. Amid this, the Packers are keeping an eye on their QB.

Jordan Love reveals major injury update amid Jalen Milroe announcement

Once Jalen Milroe announced his acceptance of the NFL Draft, the rumor mill started churning—a possibility of replacement. But that remains a far-fetched idea. Packers HC Matt LaFleur was quick to take the side of his star at the NFL Annual Meeting.

The HC said, “He’s not an excuse maker. That’s not something he ever talked to me about.” That’s right. Last year, Love suffered an MCL Sprain in the season opener. But he returned and took the team into playoffs despite suffering some additional injuries, too. The QB started 15 games and had a 9-6  record with 268 of 425 passes made (63.1% completion rate) for 3,389 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions.

LaFleur revealed that the Packers QB did not need a knee procedure after the season. While he didn’t reveal the nature of the injury, that’s still a major positive update. RB Josh Jacobs had praised his QB in February and said, “Special, man. I don’t think people really know how good he is.

However, the Packers would undoubtedly still like to chat with Jalen Milroe. There’s no harm in that. But the chances of them drafting the young talent are low. The Steelers are emerging as one of the top contenders. HC Mike Tomlin desperately needs a QB, while Aaron Rodgers refuses to commit.

The league is slowly getting into the draft vibe. With the recent rise of Jaxson Dart and, now, Jalen Milroe’s draft prospects, the 2025 QB class is no longer looking like a two-horse race. We’d love to hear your top 2025 QB picks in the comments below!
