Eagles Announce Major Status Update On 2 Stars-HN

It appears both Philadelphia’s top quarterback and cornerback will hit the field on Sunday.

When the Philadelphia Eagles walked off the snow-filled field of Lincoln Financial Field, many fans and analysts felt their 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams came at a major cost.

Both quarterback Jalen Hurts and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell were banged up during the victory. Mitchell, Philadelphia’s top rookie left the game and did not return with a shoulder injury.

Hurts suffered a knee injury that had him hobbled for the remainder of the game after a struggling first half.

While the Eagles struggled to hang on to their second conference championship game in three seasons, they did get good news when it comes to their key stars.

Both Hurts and Mitchell, the team is essentially announcing, should be ready to go for Sunday’s contest against the Washington Commanders.

Hurts threw for 128 yards while also adding a 44-yard touchdown run to get the scoring started for Philadelphia. The issue, there, is that his lack of mobility could hurt the team moving forward – especially from a rushing standpoint.

Mitchell, meanwhile, hurt his shoulder early in the first drive of the game and did not return. He was replaced by Isaiah Rodgers on the outside for the majority of the contest.

The Eagles will be back at practice on Wednesday where both Hurts and Mitchell will get their first chance to see if they are healthy enough to practice moving forward.

At the very least, they both appear to have a chance to play in one of the biggest games of the decade for the franchise.
