In GREEN BAY, Corey Ballentine and Edgerrin Cooper were absent from Sunday’s practice session for the Green Bay Packers.
Ballentine sustained a knee injury during the initial kickoff against the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving evening. This season, he has recorded six tackles and one forced fumble.
Meanwhile, Cooper has been out for the last two games due to a hamstring injury incurred during practice. Both Ballentine and Cooper were observed undergoing rehabilitation on the sidelines while the team trained indoors at the Don Hutson Center.
Turning to the Packers’ offense: they seem to be discovering their identity and assembling the right elements to rejuvenate their red-zone performance. Jaire Alexander and Romeo Doubs made their return to practice.
Doubs had suffered a concussion in the third quarter of the Packers’ Week 12 victory over the San Francisco 49ers and was absent during the Packers’ Thursday night triumph over the Miami Dolphins. Alexander, recovering from a knee injury, missed the previous two games.
The Packers, with a record of 9-3, are eagerly preparing for an exciting showdown on Thursday night in Detroit against the Lions, who boast an 11-1 record.
