Expect Travis Kelce to Extend Playoff Streak Despite Retirement Rumors…TS.DHUNG.

Travis Kelce’s season for the Kansas City Chiefs has been underwhelming by some standards, though he’s prepared to wreak havoc throughout the playoffs in what should be a return to classic form.

Kelce is one of the most accomplished postseason performers in NFL history. He’s notched at least 70 receiving yards in each of his last 13 playoff contests, a remarkable achievement, yet sportsbooks are still disrespecting him going into Saturday’s matchup with the Houston Texans.

With unsubstantiated rumors circulating that Kelce could retire after this season, this could be the final stretch from the greatest tight end to ever live. If that’s the case, let’s take full advantage of the time we have left.

FanDuel Sportsbook has Kelce’s receiving yards prop set at 51.5 yards with -113 odds to both the over and under. However, the best way to attack Kelce is to take him to get at least 60 receiving yards on the alternate line at +140 odds. A $10 bet would profit $14, and we’ve already seen signs of Kelce turning back the clock in these moments.

When the Chiefs had an opportunity to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC during Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kelce caught eight of 11 targets for 84 yards and a TD. He’s Patrick Mahomes’ trusted security blanket and just like last year, he’ll reach into his bag of tricks to ensure Kansas City’s offense is rolling in the playoffs.

Just to give you an idea, look at Kelce’s stats from those last 13 postseason games dating back to the 2021 Divisional Round:

Not only has Kelce dominated from a yardage perspective, but he’s scored 13 TDs as well, notching at least one score in 10 of the 13 games. As a result, Kelce’s +145 odds to score a TD against the Texans are intriguing as well.

No matter how you choose to attack Kelce’s props, it’s a wise move to expect a big game. Kelce’s regular-season statistics were underwhelming from his standards but his playoff box scores will look a lot closer to what we’re used to.

If the Chiefs are going to pull off this three-peat, a healthy dose of Kelce will be required. Take him to get at least 60 yards and a score to properly enjoy what could be the last Divisional Round game we see him play.
