“False Claims” Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce Addresses Rumors Circulating Around Him (Report) TS.DHUNG.

The Kansas City Chiefs landed one of the best tight ends in NFL history when they drafted Travis Kelce with the 63rd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.  He has gone on to have an incredible career and had made a name for himself both on and off the field.

However, today he had to address some fake rumors that have been circulating around him.

The wealth Kelce possesses allows him to do good things in the community. The wealth he has accumulated has been shared in exactly that way. However, he had to set the record straight:

Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, is now speaking out about recent “false claims” regarding his charity work.

Recently, a story has gone super-viral reporting that Kelce purchased a $3.3 million home in Kansas City with the intention of using it to help homeless youth.

Again, it makes some sense …  But it’s not true.

On the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce addressed the issue and what he called the “nonsense” driving the fake charity story.

“I’ve got to make a little statement in the ‘Don’t Believe Everything You Read, Kids’ category,” he said. “Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not.

“I’m not even going to talk about it specifically; I don’t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.”

We are obliged to do that, however.

A British-based publication wrote it first. ESPN’s Pat McAfee called Kelce a “good human” and gave it legs. And Travis got lots of praise …

That wasn’t quite right

Kelce did say that if the public “ever want to know exactly what I’m doing in the community, just go to 87 & Running.org,” the website for his non-profit.

“We’re always trying to get out there, get in the Kansas City communities, in the Cleveland community, but this time, I wasn’t doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or outlets posting all this AI stuff,” he said.
