Former Cowboys wide receiver coming back, signing with rival Commanders after retiring ahead of the 2024 NFL season.-baro

 Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup has signed with the rival Washington Commanders after retiring prior to the 2024 NFL season.

Gallup, who last played for the Cowboys in 2023, signed with the Commanders on Tuesday, the team announced. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gallup, 29, played six seasons with the Cowboys from 2018-2023. He was released by the Cowboys in March 2024 with three years and $45.55 million remaining on his contract.

Gallup then signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in April, but retired one day before training camp began in July.
