GOOD NEWS: Davante Adams is still dunking on the Bears even after leaving Green Bay… – VC

We’re always down to make fun of the Bears.

There’s so much going on in the world right now, sometimes we all need to just stop, take a deep breath, and make fun of the Chicago Bears. Nothing brings people together – especially during the holiday season – like making fun of the Bears. It’s not our fault they make it so easy. If anything, they’re providing a public good.

And while there are any number of ways to make fun of the Chicago Bears, Tuesday provided Packers fans with one that just had a little extra je ne sais quoi. There’s something especially fun about a Green Bay player – former or current – going on record with a jab. Back in the good ol’ days, that used to be Aaron Rodgers’ wheelhouse – but now, uh, you know.

Fortunately, Davante Adams is picking up where Rodgers left off. During his weekly hit on Kay Adams’ morning show, the Jets wide receiver was asked, point blank, if he’d ever consider playing for the Bears. And just because he gave an incredibly predictable answer doesn’t make it any less fun to listen to.

Davante Adams still has beef with the Bears and honestly we love that for him

“No,” Adams said. “Look, I’m not playing too much longer as it is, so on my last days in this league, after all I’ve been blessed with, I will not be going to Chicago. Like I said: I respect everyone that I’ve played, but I’m not playing for the Bears, no.”

Oh noooooooo. That’s too bad. What a shame. It must be such a bummer to have the legacy that the Bears do – and play in one of the best cities in the country – and still be as universally disrespected as they are. No one wants a ton of money to go play in Chicago with Caleb Williams?!?! That sound you hear are the last sniffles from all the crying I’ve done over the Bears’ impeachable image falling into disrepair.

If Adams is looking for one final team to play for before it’s all said and done, I can think of an NFC North squad that has a bunch of young wide receivers and a passing offense that’s struggled to stay consistent this season. It sounds like he’s ready to go back to beating the Bears twice a season anyways.
