You think Mike Evans hasn’t made a difference in this Bucs offense?
When Evans got hurt against Baltimore and missed the next four games, the Bucs went into a rut losing four straight games nearly crippling their season.
Since Evans returned against the Giants, the Bucs are 4-1. And more importantly, Baker Mayfield’s numbers improved as well.
Per Rich Hribar of Sharp Football Analysis, Mayfield, since Evans returned against the Giants after the bye, leads the NFL in average yards per pass attempt (8.7 yards).
Joe’s not a big believer in coincidences in the game of football.
So it looks to Joe that if the Bucs want to make the playoffs, or even win a game or two in the playoffs (provided they get help), one of the key goals of the Bucs is for Evans to stay healthy.
