Mecole Hardman has left the Kansas City Chiefs to join the Green Bay Packers. The wide receiver is best remembered for scoring the game-winning touchdown for the Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII during overtime.

Mecole Hardman agrees one-year Packers deal

Hardman has agreed to a one-year contract with the Packers, although the financial details have not been disclosed.

The 27-year-old spent most of his first six seasons in the NFL with Kansas City, having been selected in the second round of the 2019 draft by the Chiefs. He had a seven-month spell with the New York Jets in 2023 before returning to Missouri.

Hardman is also a kick return specialist, with 178 receptions for 2,302 yards and 16 touchdowns over his first six NFL seasons. His best year as a receiver was in 2021, when he caught 59 passes for 693 yards and two touchdowns.

At the Packers, Hardman joins a group of receivers that includes Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Malik Heath.
