“He’s Done For the Year” – Packers’ Matt LaFleur Shares Devastating Injury Update on 1 Rookie Offensive Lineman… – VC

“Yeah, he’s done for the year,” LaFleur said about Morgan during his podcast interview with The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman.

Jordan Morgan had been dealing with a shoulder injury since training camp, preventing him from claiming the starting right guard position. The 25th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft aggravated his injury in Week 2 and missed the next three games.

He played 65 snaps and started for the first time during the Green Bay Packers’ Week 9 loss against the Detroit Lions when Josh Myers missed the week and Elgton Jenkins moved to center. However, Jordan Morgan hasn’t played since after hurting his shoulder again during a November 14 practice.

The 23-year-old rookie was spotted wearing a sling at practice last week. Morgan is currently on injured reserve, but Matt LaFleur didn’t confirm whether he’ll need surgery to fix his shoulder.

Jordan Morgan’s season-ending injury hurts the Green Bay Packers’ o-line depth

Jordan Morgan will finish his debut season with the Green Bay Packers, having played 186 snaps in six games (one start). He is arguably the team’s best backup interior offensive lineman.

With Jordan Morgan out for the rest of the season, Andre Dillard, Kadeem Telfort, Travis Glover, and Jacob Monk will have more opportunities on the offensive line. Green Bay has four of their five starters on the offensive line under contract next season, except center Josh Myers, who could reportedly leave the team.

The Green Bay Packers could also use Michael Jordan as another option. The former New England Patriots left guard is on the practice squad.
