After a relatively underwhelming regular season, it didn’t take Travis Kelce long to return to his peak performance once the playoffs began. And now, after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to qualify for a third consecutive Super Bowl game, Fred Warner wants the future Hall of Famer to put an end to his glorious career in the NFL.

In his 13-year-long glorious career playing for the Chiefs, the ten-time Pro Bowler has been a significant contributor to Kansas City’s rising dominance in the league, including chasing the historic three-peat. Unfortunately due to his underwhelming performance, the star tight end has been swamped with retirement speculations throughout the 2024 season.

Although he has stated that he will consider his future after the Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers linebacker, who lost Super Bowl LVIII at the hands of the Chiefs, wants Kelce to think about his future now and hopefully retire once the Super Bowl game is over on February 9.

Highlighting the rivalry between the Chiefs and 49ers, Warner gave his take on Kelce’s future during his appearance on the Pat McAfee show. The All-Pro linebacker was purely speaking from the point-of-view of a competitor, highlighting the challenges of overpowering the unpredicted playing style of the legendary tight end.

Although the three-time Super Bowl champion has claimed to consider the realistic scenario of his future in the NFL in the offseason, there’s a good chance that he would prefer to stay. Not to further cement his legacy or solidify a place in future Hall of Famers, both of which he has already achieved, but simply because of his love for gridiron and his desire to continue playing as long as he is able.
