Kayla Nicole couldn’t keep Travis Kelce out of her podcast’s premiere — thanks to a curious fan.
The 33-year-old joked she “should have screened” listener questions before answering them on “The Pre-Game” Thursday.
Although Kelce, 35, was not named in the episode, Nicole explained how “dating someone in the public eye … altered the way [she] move[s] in relationships.”
The influencer, who expressed relief that the question was not too “spicy,” said things have “absolutely” changed, comparing herself to John Cena.
“You don’t see me. You will never see me with a man until I’m married with kids. Scout’s honor,” she explained.
“I’m protecting me. I don’t think I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my person,” Nicole continued, noting that she would rather love someone “without pressure” from the public than give “an explanation about every single thing.”

Elsewhere in the episode, she gushed about being in her “bachelorette … ‘Sex and the City’ era.”
The self-proclaimed “relationship girlie” said, “I’m enjoying myself. You go on dates and get cute dresses and go to dinner and have nice cocktails.”
She described her current relationship mindset as “dating and hiding,” referring to herself as “the queen of the back room and the corner closet” who does not feel any “shame.”
While Kelce has stayed tight-lipped about his and Nicole’s on-again, off-again romance since he began dating Taylor Swift in 2023, his ex alluded to their relationship in a recent People interview.
In February, she described putting her dreams “on the back burner to support” past partners.
“To anyone that’s dating a pro athlete, I always say, ‘Girl, put you first. Love your man down — but also remember who you are and what your goals are too,’” Nicole told the magazine.
Last year, the “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” alum opened up to her fellow cast members about her and the athlete’s “overwhelming” breakup in 2022.
She and Travis met over Instagram DMs five years prior, and Nicole encouraged her podcast listeners to ask her out the same way now as she “hates it” on the celebrity-loved Raya dating app.
“I need you guys to increase,” she quipped Thursday. “Maybe you’re intimidated, you’re a little scared. DM me more. … The DMs are open. Flood them.”
