The NFL regular season is winding down, with teams having just one game remaining. The playoff field has been set, and the top two seeds for the AFC will go to the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 1 and the Buffalo Bills at No. 2. Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady, who ranked the Bills at No. 4, provided some key insights about the team’s position heading into the playoffs.
Tom Brady declared the Chiefs to be the best team in the league
During Week 18 of the NFL regular season, teams are fighting for a chance at postseason play. Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady had words of praise for the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Detroit Lions but proclaimed the Kansas City Chiefs to be the best team in the league.
On Thursday, Brady declared, “The No. 1 team in my power rankings goes to the Chiefs,” citing their dominant performance on both offense and defense. Brady emphasized the significance of their Christmas Day victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, secured a commanding 29-10 victory against a formidable Steelers defense. Brady noted Mahomes’ standout game, saying, “Patrick threw for 320 yards, a great all-around effort, three touchdowns. That was a really good Steelers defense on Christmas Day.”
Mahomes showed his accuracy and leadership by making 29 out of 39 pass attempts for 320 yards and three touchdowns. The offense of the Chiefs gained 389 total yards and averaged 6.7 yards per play and scored 20 first downs. Mahomes becomes a two-time MVP, and the Kansas City’s offense is now one of the most potent offenses in the league.
Kansas City’s success this season is not only because of their offense. Not to forget is their defense, with Steve Spagnuolo at the helm. It has been a strong and aggressive defense for the Chiefs, bringing home two turnovers from the Steelers match and limiting only four teams to go above 20 points within their last five games.
The Chiefs sport a 15-1 record, with six straight victories in a row, while their sole loss took place against the Buffalo Bills in November. Kansas City is basically locked into the No. 1 seed in the AFC ahead of their last regular-season game against the Denver Broncos.

The Chiefs’ defense has been incredible, forcing two turnovers against the Steelers in Week 17. They have allowed only four teams to score over 20 points this season. The Chiefs are 15-1, and their only loss was to the Buffalo Bills. Kansas City plays its final game of the regular season against the Denver Broncos on January 5.
