Earlier this month, legendary former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was finally selected as an inductee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class.
Since the announcement, some have been wondering what Allen’s bronze bust inside the Hall of Fame is going to look like since he was known for some pretty unique hairstyles and facial hair during his playing career.
Well, during an appearance on “Up & Adams” on Tuesday, the former All-Pro pass rusher shared exactly what just about every Vikings fan had been hoping for when it came to the look of his bronze bust.
“Oh full mullet. Absolutely, full mullet. Gotta find the right mullet. I’m trying to decide if I want 42-year-old hairline or 24-year-old hairline. Do I want [the 255-pound to 260-pound version of my] face or grown-up more distinguished face?
How do we do a beard? I’ve always got a beard. Do I go [Fu Manchu stye]? I don’t know. Those are tough decisions. Racing stripes [on the side of my hair or] not racing stripes? Those are the ones we’re trying to figure out.
It’ll be iconic. It’ll absolutely rock a mullet.”
So there you go. At the absolute very least, Allen confirmed that his bronze bust inside the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have a mullet hairstyle.
He’s clearly still trying to figure the exact details of what the final version of his bust will look like. But we now know that when his bronze bust is revealed to the public during the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio this summer, it will be rocking a vintage Allen mullet.
What else will Allen do that adds his own unique style to his Hall of Fame induction? Will he ride into the ceremony on a horse like he did when he was inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor in 2022? Will he cut off the sleeves of his iconic Hall of Fame gold jacket?
We will all just have to wait to find out until Allen and the rest of the 2025 class deliver their speeches and are officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 2nd.

It’s always fun to look back at what could have been. For Minnesota Vikings fans, there are a lot of “what if” type situations that could have changed the direction and scope of the franchise in positive or negative ways.
Looking back at NFL drafts to see what could have happened differently can be a good time, but also frustrating Numerous times in franchise history the Vikings passed on an elite player in the draft to select an individual that didn’t pan out.
It is too soon to tell if Minnesota’s picks in the 2024 NFL Draft will work out in the long run since quarterback J.J. McCarthy has yet to start a regular-season game and edge rusher Dallas Turner had limited opportunities in his first season behind a strong outside linebacker group.

However, Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports recently took a shot at re-drafting the 2024 NFL Draft and has the Minnesota Vikings changing up who they selected in a big way by choosing two different prospects.
At No. 11 in that draft, the Vikings selected University of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy to hopefully be their passer of the future. In Trapasso’s re-draft, he has Minnesota taking Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, who was eventually selected by the Eagles at No. 22 overall.
Then, Minnesota made another selection at No. 23 overall and chose Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner. In the CBS Sports re-draft, the pick was Kansas guard Dominick Puni, who was chosen by the 49ers at No. 86 overall.
Interestingly, J.J. McCarthy landed one pick after his original draft position by being selected No. 12 overall by the Denver Broncos. In the original draft, they took quarterback Bo Nix, who looked good in his rookie year but was unavailable since he was selected sixth in the re-draft.
Dallas Turner is a different story in this re-draft. Minnesota’s edge rusher doesn’t appear in the first round of the article despite earning one sack per 100 defensive snaps, a better rate than Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse who went No. 4 overall in the re-draft.
The Minnesota Vikings could use help in the secondary or on the offensive line, but it’s much too soon to regret selecting J.J. McCarthy or Dallas Turner in the 2024 NFL Draft.
