“Proud” Benzema ends his football career with France at the international level
During his weekly radio show on 97.1 The Ticket, Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff was asked if offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was going to do talks with other teams this week.
“He’s been on interviews before, right? “So I don’t know, let’s see,” Goff said. “I love Ben, he’s the best, and I hope the best for him in everything he does.” He knows I’d like to keep him for at least one more, though.
Because of the bye week, Detroit’s two managers will be able to do video interviews with teams that might be interested.
The Patriots, Bears, and Jaguars have all asked to talk to Johnson about becoming their head coach.
Breer of Sports Illustrated says, “Sources say the Lions have given OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn a window from Thursday afternoon through Saturday to do head coaching interviews.” By law, all of those have to be online. (As we already said, Johnson will be picky and may only talk to Chicago and NE.)”
Aaron Glenn is said to be meeting with four teams for interviews.
Reports say Glenn will meet with the Jaguars, the Saints, the Jets, and the Bears to talk about a possible job.
Anderson, an NFL writer, says that the video interview with the Saints will happen this Friday.
This week, Glenn and his wife were seen at Little Caesars Arena, where they watched the Detroit Pistons beat the Portland Trail Blazers 118–115.
