The

Golden State Warriors

finally got a win under their belt after being nervous about sitting out their key player, the tired

Stephen Curry

. The team relied on the recent trade jackpot,

Jimmy Butler

, who didn’t disappoint on Tuesday. The small forward was in a jolly mood after registering a solid 104-93 win over the

Milwaukee Bucks

and went on to crack a joke about his resting teammate, Curry, who is known for almost never dunking despite being a champion in the game.

Jimmy Butler bags attention in Stephen Curry’s absence

Jimmy Butler recorded 24 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds, making a significant contribution in securing the win against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Chase Center. After the game, Butler was asked about his impressive three-point play in the third quarter, to which he replied, “I’ve been watching Steph highlights. I’ve been going on YouTube, watching him do his thing.”
When asked what his favorite Stephen Curry highlight was, Butler took a playful dig at the

NBA

star, saying, “[It’s] probably his dunks because he doesn’t get too many of those. Any time my man gets a dunk, I’m a fan.”

The fans soon remembered Curry’s rare dunk earlier this month. NBA had shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) which got hilarious reactions from Warriors’ fans. They had also joked about the same. One fan joked, “One in a million! Curry the GOAT.” Another said, “LOL Take a picture.” A third commented, “What can’t he do?” A comment also read: “Imagine if he could shoot.”
However, one fan got serious and questioned the celebration over Curry’s dunk. The fan wrote on X, “I know Curry’s a great outside shooter, but what’s the big deal over a 6’3 guy barely dunking the ball every six years? These sports announcers get absurd about the superstars at times.

Stephen Curry recently turned 37 and crossed 25,000 points in his successful 16-year career. He was recently given a rest when he couldn’t generate enough energy on the court, leading to a loss against the Denver Nuggets. He also became the first NBA player to hit 4,000 three-pointers.
